About all things orange
Julep Thursday night, thursday night, thursday night, and thursday night. Just when it started to suck, I went to visit the Julep on Wednesday. Same Julep? Not the same Julep. A whole different venue. Just when the Julep was getting stale on Thursdays, the oldies make it fresher on Wednesdays. This is the night you will see things you won't forget. Muscle Roadrunners. Sleeper Malibus, First Generation F-Bodies, Convertibles. Where you are reminded that Mopar, Motorcraft, and AC Delco are king. You won't find fancy metallic clear coats, but crayon basics like red, green, and purple. Families and children run about. People that are really paying real money to really buy Julep food and drinks! Though, I got there quite late, the place was supposedly packed earlier the night, with the customary overflow into the McD's across the street. Mustang, Camaro, Chevy, Pontiac, you discover why these names carry the legacy onward. So, regardless if you are a new-school car lover--if you have never come to Julep Wednesdays, just come once. Your only regret is not having to see it sooner. It's a gift to have a chance to come. Wednesday meets at LaFleurs West Island? I don't think so.
Orange Julep Montreal, is located on the Decarie/15, near exit Jean-Talon. Julep Wednesdays start usually around suppertime, and end off at 9:30p. Wet roads will cancel the event.
