Job Description
PCMTL is seeking one part-time or full-time individual to develop its advertising business. Your goal will be to make contact with any potential customers for both long-term sponsorship and advertising. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in selling advertising, media placement or Internet. An understanding of the Internet, search engines, or directory advertising will be an asset. If you are currently employed and already well versed and familiar in Television Media and Radio advertising, then you need only to repeat what you have already been doing for a super easy job. A range of compensation models is available to suit and reward applicants experience. All work is by contract and is renewed monthly.

- Ability to check email before the start of the day and after the end of a day
- Owns a cell phone and must be able to answer 24x7

Ideal Candidate
- Post-secondary diploma in public relations, communications or journalism;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French;
- Experience in crisis communications and in developing creative and innovative PR/communication materials;
- Ability to speak with the media and to liaise with divisional Managers;
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Ability to prioritize, to multitask and to work with tight deadlines;
- Experience in Advertising Sales.
- Experience dealing with upper management
- Experience dealing with corporate change.
- Fluent in other languages including Greek, Italian, and Cantonese/Mandarin.

Job Description
PCMTL is seeking one individual that will orchestrate its website into a finished and final product. You are expected to take advantage of off-the-shelf packages and existing turn-key solutions, and NOT attempt to re-invent anything from scratch. You will be responsible in assembling the backend and frontend of the website. You will not engage in any graphic or illustrative designing. If the extent of your knowledge is static Html and graphic design, please do not apply.

Responsibilities will include
-Implementing re-designed platform infrastructure for both Intranet and Internet sites (including user interface and navigation)
-Collaborating with others in the company to ensure that the platform is meeting the needs of the business
-Formulating enhancement strategies for the site

Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
-Thorough knowledge of Internet protocols, browser dependent features, and security issues
-Technical knowledge of: DHTML, JavaScript, ASP, CSS, IIS, and Windows (2000, XP, 2003)
-Advanced proficiency with HTML, including style sheets, templates, complex tables, frames, and dynamic menus
-Experience using Cold Fusion and Microsoft SQL Server a plus
-Experience with issues around Search Engine Optimization also a plus
-Strong troubleshooting skills associated with integrated web components
-Web server administration experience involving web site monitoring, automatic failover, and performance measurements
-Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and project management skills
-Team-oriented and ability to work with minimal instruction

We are looking for both males and females that will do simple tasks like wearing company uniforms, set up displays and hang up posters, hand out flyers, and be camera friendly at large public events. Candidates do not need to be experienced or 10's on the hot-or-not scale. This also includes candidates with special talents (MC'ing on stage, modelling, product showcasing, public performing, costume role playing). If you worked for a sponsor and not as a staff of Pcmtl, then your pay must either be collected in person with your agent, or by Payroll Direct Deposit. Non-profit and without products to sell, PCMTL.com is a student run journalism media crew. Our projects are quick paced to keep up with the demanding world of media.

Because PCMTL requires the generous cooperation of its volunteers, supporting contributors and "THE EVENT" management, helping us will be helping you.

Work guidelines and Requirements.

"THE EVENT" staff should be informed and expect the attendance of PCMTL, this will prevent confusion and delays on our projects, and allow us to work harmoniously. We will perform our tasks and respect the outlines of your media credentials, and well inform "THE EVENT" staff of our immediate motives when required. It is highly unfavourable for PCMTL to ask for permission to work in syncronous if members of "THE EVENT" staff are not fully aware of our attendance.

PCMTL crew members are properly identified with Press badges, and will provide a business card when asked. PCMTL is not a club, and is comprised only of contributing working staff. Any person(s) claiming to be part of the PCMTL crew without a Press badge AND business cards should be alerted to "THE EVENT" authorities for mis-representation.

PCMTL does not condone to give attention to forced submission. We will accept suggestions and recommended topics of interest, but we are not obligated to accept and follow them thru. Majority of the time we work without problems when we are submitted with material that is fun, quirky, and interesting.

Food and beverage, hospitality and transportation services will be accepted if provided, but is not required.

"THE EVENT" is not responsible for security or theft of any equipment and personal belongings of PCMTL.

PCMTL reserves the right not to commit to an appearance, and will not be held liable or responsible for any costs or consequences that result from our absence. Although rare, unforseen circumstances and unfortunate events may occur beyond our control.

PCMTL requires exhibit space for the erection of a standard 10'x10' kiosk tent. This is PCMTL's makeshift media center to store equipment, and rest area. PCMTL is obliged to have full jurisdiction inside this space, without restrictions or conflict from conjoined or nearby neighbours.

PCMTL depends heavily on electricity to run and maintain our equipment. For outdoor events, our vehicle needs to be parked in close proximity of our kiosk. For indoor events, please provide electricity on-site, or nearby with an extension cord.

PCMTL must be permitted to display and freely distribute any form of promotion material that directly advertises PCMTL, which may include but is not limited to: banners, posters, business cards, models, stickers, wet tattoos, handouts, optical media, gifts, audio/video presentation. Occasionally we may also provide limited presence of supporting contributors of PCMTL.

PCMTL will not accept unsolicited material unless previously arranged and specified.

Archived Media.

All PCMTL captured media remains the property of PCMTL, all rights reserved. This includes video footage, audio recordings, photographs, and written material. PCMTL is under no obligation to submit or reveal unedited captured media, and does so at their discretion.

Finished Media.

PCMTL allows all published media, optical, electronic, or printed, for free licensing, without permission required. All published media may be copied, shared on the internet, re-distributed and re-sold for profit, as long as all published material remains unedited and unaltered in its complete original form.
